Jo Couchman FCA

Jo started the business as a small accountancy practice in 2001 while bringing up her family. Jo began her career working in a local practice qualifying as a certified accountant at age 23 and soon discovered her interest in small businesses, particularly in management information and helping business owners with their end of year accounts, VAT and payroll compliance. Her friendly nature has grown the business with recommendations and she continues to keep abreast of the developments in accounting software so that business owners can benefit from reliable management information.

When not working, Jo is kept busy with her 3 children and enjoys following Formula 1 and athletics.

Richard Couchman CTA

Richard joined the business in January 2015 after working for a top 40 firm in the field of tax. He brings an extensive tax knowledge to the practice and oversees all tax compliance as well as giving tax planning advice to our clients. Richard always takes an interest in the tax position of every client, no matter how large or small. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1994 and has gained much knowledge and experience of the UK tax law dealing with many different types of businesses and transactions.

Outside of work Richard enjoys running and watching films but not at the same time!

Martin Leafe BSc (Hons) BPF FCA

Martin has worked in accountancy since 1999 and particularly enjoys the technical aspects of the profession and is a registered auditor. He works with small and medium sized businesses and offers proactive and practical advice without the jargon. Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 and gained his experience in a local practice working with them for 17 years.

Martin enjoys watching many types of sport, particularly Liverpool FC and spending time in the garden.
